HardwareER-B80T Brass Tremolo
A six-point tremolo engineered to improve mechanical coupling between strings and body, minimize energy loss, and deliver a clear, stable dynamic response.
ECHO Research develops premium guitar hardware, pickups, instruments, pedals, and amplifiers around one principle: every material changes the way an instrument speaks.

Built for players who hear the difference between a specification and a system. Choose a family, then open any product for its engineering story.
HardwareA six-point tremolo engineered to improve mechanical coupling between strings and body, minimize energy loss, and deliver a clear, stable dynamic response.
PickupsA PAF-inspired neck humbucker with warm mids, smooth highs, and a full low end. Intentional tolerance control preserves vintage character with dependable output.
EffectsBuilt around a limited stock of original OC44 germanium transistors, this treble booster restores clarity and brightness to early amplifier circuits.
EffectsA digital recreation of vintage 1960s spring reverb with warm bounce, harmonic richness, and a useful range from restrained space to deep ambience.
EffectsRare 1980s JRC4558D chips add smooth, transparent gain while retaining the natural identity of the guitar and amplifier.
InstrumentA materials-led instrument with lightweight alder, quartersawn maple, a hand-applied linseed oil finish, and EGR X pickups and wiring.
EffectsVintage LM308 op-amps produce a thick low end and stable distortion, reducing harsh highs while preserving grit and warmth.
AmplifiersA small-batch, hand-built amplifier tuned through measurements and real-unit A/B listening for headroom, smooth nonlinearity, and exceptional touch response.
Not ornament for its own sake, but a musical result made deliberate: the right material, the right geometry, the right circuit, and a repeatable standard of finish and support.
Materials are selected for the instrument and response, not for cost or rarity alone.
Geometry, winding, impedance, and component values are matched as one system.
Parametric models and lab measurements meet blind player evaluation.
Machining, plating, oil finishing, and assembly protect performance as well as appearance.
Serial tracking, a standard warranty, global fulfillment, and lifetime technical support.
Output is one part of the decision. Position, magnet system, winding, instrument density, amplifier headroom, and playing touch all matter.
| Model | Format | DCR | Voicing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ladyfingers | Single coil | 5.5 kΩ | Low distortion, clear chords, sweet clean response |
| Autumn Chill | Single coil | 6.0 kΩ | Forward mids, bright articulation, warm lows |
| Golden Bell | Single coil | 6.3 kΩ | Bell-like high-end definition, rounded mids |
| Jennifer | Neck humbucker | 8.0 kΩ | Warm PAF character; covered or open-coil |
| Night Drive | Bridge humbucker | 9.0 kΩ | Vintage warmth, modern clarity, stronger gain |
| Sure | Tele set | 6.5 / 7.5 kΩ | Fast transient, focused upper mids, clear attack |
| Peach | Tele set | 6.2-6.4 / 7.3 kΩ | Vintage foundation, naturally balanced pair |
| Annabelle | Tele set | 5.8-6.0 / 6.4-6.6 kΩ | Bright, open, extended headroom |
Premium material is only the beginning. Geometry, density, damping, impedance, and the instrument itself have to work as one acoustic system.
Parametric structures are developed around resonance, mechanical coupling, playing feel, and repeatable production.
Integrated CNC machining, precision metalwork, plating, and molding keep tolerances and surface treatment in-house.
Lab measurements are paired with component matching and blind player evaluation across multiple instrument types.
Findings return to the design loop, creating products with dependable tone, fit, durability, and traceability.

Lightweight, long-air-dried tonewood and a thin hand-rubbed linseed oil finish preserve an open acoustic response. A quartersawn maple neck, single-action truss rod, optimized pocket angle, and complete EGR X electronics system carry that response into the amplified voice.

More expensive parts are not automatically more musical. EGR X builds around parameter matching, impedance control, frequency shaping, and repeatable tolerance—using a materials-circuit-instrument database developed across hundreds of configurations.

Real-unit disassembly, measurement, and A/B listening inform a verifiable build system. Turret and eyelet point-to-point wiring, controlled lead dress and grounding, batch-selected components, individual calibration, soak testing, and full measurement logs define the series.
These reference figures support material selection and circuit architecture. They are context for engineering decisions—not invented performance claims.
